On August 1st, Seth Green, Matthew Senreich and Breckin Meyer set off on a historic voyage across the country with the Robot Chicken on Wheels '09 Tour as part of the Adult Swim Presents series. In each of these nine cities, the boys promoted the DVD release of Emmy-nominated Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II by invading a roller skating rink and spreading the madness that is Robot Chicken.

Click a skating rink above to visit its official website for more information. We also have a google map providing the exact locations. The shows are all-ages and admission is free! All shows will open the doors at 8PM. Fans who have purchased the Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II DVD will be able to get in an hour earlier with an early entry voucher found in the DVD box (or the DVD itself).

The tour previewed in San Diego (sans band), coinciding with the penultimate day of Comic-Con International '09, the nation's biggest comic convention. The journey kicked off in Los Angeles and ended up in Seth Green & Matt Senreich's home towns, spanning nearly two weeks and over three thousand miles.

There was lots of fun to be had, some RC previews, plenty of skating and a performance at each city by the band Gym Class Heroes. There were also special appearances by RC writers, producers and voice cast members. A 12'X9' LCD screen was set up outside each event, playing on a loop both Star Wars specials back-to-back followed by some (mostly unaired) season 4 clips.

There's an as.com site here that provides these details and is delivering blog entries and vids & pics from each event. Also available for retrieval are the photos of fans posing in front of their RC backdrop; if you took such a picture, this is where should be able to find it. It also features a number of promotional short films including the first one to hit the net, (to the left) featuring Breckin Meyer ripping Zac Efron a new one, parodying a recent altercation between Perez Hilton and the band Black Eyed Peas.
