- The little girl acts in a similar way to Elmyra Duff on Tiny Toon Adventures, for which whom Cree Summer is perhaps best known for voicing.
- The music playing when the girl slices off Pegasus' wings is Bernard Hermann's "The Murder" from the horror film Psycho.
- "Honeyflake" appears to be a griffin which is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. It appears his wings have been chopped off also.
Goofs / Nitpicks:
- The little girl would have to have superhuman strength to chop of wings of that size with one cut and then get the 1,000 pound animal back to her barn.
