Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 - June 25, 2009), commonly known as "King of Pop, Rock and Soul" or in abbreviated form as "King of Pop", was an American musician, entertainer, and pop/rock icon whose successful career and controversial personal life have been a part of popular culture for the last three decades. He has three children: Michael Joseph Jackson Jr. (known as 'Prince'), Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, and Prince Michael Joseph Jackson II (known as 'Blanket').
He died of a drug overdose on June 25, 2009.
