- Both Cree Summer and Frank Welker reprise their roles from the original Inspector Gadget cartoon.

- Robot Chicken premiered the same year that Don Adams who voiced Gadget in the original Inspector Gadget passed away
- Gadget is wearing his coat from Gadget and the Gadgetinis.
Goofs / Nitpicks:
- Penny told Brain to drive the Gadget Van because she's too young to even have a driver's license, but later on in the sketch, Penny's driving a red jeep similar to Sarah Connor's at the end of the first Terminator film.
- Penny did operated a vehicle a few times in the original series. She also drove the Gadgetmobile in the 1992 Christmas special, Inspector Gadget Saves Christmas.
- Brain had white pupils in the original cartoon yet they are black in this sketch.
- Brain was more of a orangey yellow in the original series while the action figure they used was yellow
