- Breckin Meyer also voiced Jon Arbuckle in Garfield at the Vet.
- Coincidentally, there was a real-life cat nicknamed Bart the "Zombie Cat", due to him getting ran over and assumed dead by his owner. He buried him, but five days later, Bart woke from his grave and went back to his owner's house like it was nothing. Bart was sent to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay to be treated for a broken jaw, and removal of his left eye.
Goofs / Nitpicks:
- Nermal wasn't Jon's pet in the comics nor in the TV shows. Jon only owns Garfield and Odie (Odie was formerly known by Jon's former roommate, Lyman until 1983 when the character disappeared).
- He could have adpoted Nermal after the deaths of his pets.
- Nermal is voiced by a female actress in this sketch, rather than a male actor voicing him. Although, Nermal was voiced by female voice actress Desirée Goyette in Garfield and Friends which confused viewers to think that he was a female due to the feminine voice.
- As with Garfield at the Vet, people don't really understand Garfield or hear his thoughts when he tries to communicate with them.
