Born and raised in San Francisco, Erik Weiner graduated from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He received the Outstanding Achievement Award and the first ever Tisch Award. He created and starred in "The Bomb-itty of Errors" a slammin' add-rap-tation of Shakespeare's "Comedy of Errors", blending hip-hop and Shakespeare. The show received rave reviews (see bomb-itty.com) and has been performed in New York (Off-Broadway), London (West End), Chicago, Edinburgh, Dublin, Florida, and, most recently, in Los Angeles. The Bomb-itty was nominated for a Drama Desk Award and Outer Critic Circle Award and won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Show at the HBO US Comedy Arts Festival as well as the prestigious Jefferson Award in Chicago. Erik, again with the Bomb-itty crew, created and starred in the MTV series, "Scratch & Burn", a hip-hop sketch comedy show. Erik made his feature film debut in the 20th Century Fox romantic comedy, "Brown Sugar". The film stars Taye Diggs, Mos Def & Queen Latifah. Along with collaborator Jordan Allen-Dutton, Erik wrote a new musical comedy about Bill Gates and Steve Jobs called, "Nerds", which premiered at NYU and the New York Stage and Film Festival. Erik can also be seen on HBO's new series, "Unscripted", executive produced by George Clooney, Steven Soderbergh, Grant Heslov, and Matt Adler, and directed by George Clooney and Grant Heslov.
