Dax Shepard (born January 2, 1975) is an American actor. Dax's acting career started with his film debut in Hairshirt (1998). Though his role in the movie was short, it was his "foot in the door" so to speak. After performing in a chain of smaller television and film roles, the phenomenon known as Punk'd acquired Dax's skill in improvisation, his talents became further acknowledged. His exposure through Punk'd lead to film roles in movies such as Cheaper by the Dozen, Without a Paddle, and Zathura.
