Goofs / Nitpicks:
- A doctor says that the Pink Panther is an international jewel thief. While the first film in the Pink Panther film series, released in 1963, focuses on Inspector Jacques Clouseau tracking a jewel thief, the Panther himself is not a thief; in fact, the panther only appeared in the animated opening credits of the film franchise, and did not become a protagonist of his own short film series until a year later, in 1964, with the release of the Academy Award-winning The Pink Phink.
- Insects and their larvae don't have lungs, so therefore it would be impossible for a caterpillar to get lung cancer.
- The Caterpillar, having originated from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a literary character, not a cartoon character. Although the iconic animated adaptation of the novel by Disney did feature the Caterpillar and his hookah, but toted a much different appearance than the caterpillar seen here.
