Alfonso Ribeiro (born September 21, 1971 in New York City) is an American actor and singer of Dominican descent. His parents immigrated to New York from the Dominican Republic. He is best known for his role as Carlton Banks on the TV Sitcom "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".
